Window of opportunity at Henshalls
In the frame at Henshalls - Christmas window designers Somea Askey and Andrew Campbell
Pupils from Newport Junior School have been helping a local insurance brokers to get into the festive spirit.
The children were invited to design the Christmas display for Henshalls, in the High Street, and the lucky winners were given the chance to help decorate the company's front window.
Competition organiser, Lisa Baer from Henshalls, said: "We thought it would be a fun idea to encourage local youngsters to get involved in our Christmas display this year, and we were inundated with entries from the school.
"As a company that prides itself on our close involvement with the local community, we felt it would be a great opportunity for local children to see their ideas come to fruition."
Winners of the competition were Somea Askey (Year 5) and Andrew Campbell (Year 6), who have received tickets to visit the Christmas Grotto at Hoo Farm, in Telford, as their prize.
"We were delighted with the response we received from the youngsters, and with the creativity and originality of their ideas," said Lisa.
"We're hoping this will become an annual event and from the compliments we've received so far from our customers, the design is proving to be a real talking point."
